Oak Plantation Resort Reviews and Testimonials

"Would Definitely Go Back"

The location was perfect! We were close enough to stores, restaurants, etc., but just far enough off the beaten path to feel like we were in a secluded retreat in this gated community. The staff was friendly and the grounds were kept in good condition. Our villa was a first floor unit within a short walk to the lagoonside gazebo where we sat and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. The ducks were an expected and welcome presence of wildlife. However, we were alarmed at the presence of a few good sized raccoons near our unit. We stayed in what was the smallest of the one bedroom villas, but perfect for two people. The first thing that struck us when we opened the door to our villa was the "clean" and "fresh" smell which was present throughout our seven day stay despite choosing the "no housekeeping" option. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, oven, microwave and full-size refrigerator. There was so much more we could have enjoyed at the resort; pools, gameroom, internet cafe (which stayed open until 10:00 p.m.) basketball and tennis courts (which were lit at night), but didn’t have the time. We did sit for a presentation and the salesman was courteous and affable. If we are ever in the Orlando area again, our first choice will be the Oak Plantation Resort!!!

"Ducks and otters and peacocks, oh my"

The Oaks Plantation Villa was a very enjoyable stay; the staff was eager to accomodate us, the suite had a kitchen and all the cookware we needed to make our own dinners (instead of eating out every night,) and the setting was great. The pond at the center of the resort provided picturesque scenery, while the resident ducks, otters, and even a peacock added a little something to the atmosphere. The two pools and hot tub were big plusses, and the general store and internet cafe made it easy to get almost everyting we needed without leaving the premesis.

"Family getaway"

There were so many positives about this resort. The resort itself is in a serene location with lots of mature trees. It is big enough that you don’t feel like everyone’s crammed into a little space but small enough that everything-the pool, internet cafe, etc... are all a short walk away. The staff was pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was ample parking right outside your building. The in-room laundry was nice, however we had a washer/dryer all-in-one combo which could only handle small loads. Minor inconvenience and better to have one than not one. Our 3 kids (under the age of 6) had a great time. The pools, activities, playground and courts were wonderful. We would definitely go back....great value for our budget! Happy travels!
